For years Zinfandel has been one of the most important wines of the Napa Valley, California. It recently turned out that it's the same vine grown in Puglia, where it had arrived in the mid-18th century, under the name of Primi- tivo.A journey that began in Eastern Europe, where it is still cultivated under the name of Krianska Kastelanska together with several of its descendants. Once again it's the demon- stration that wine follows the movements of peoples, helping to maintain their traditions and culture.
